Firefighters Extinguish Fire from Russian Attack
Firefighters work to extinguish a building set ablaze after Russian troops targeted Kharkiv, Ukraine on Sept. 11, 2022. At least 1 person was and 1 injured when Russia shelled Kharkiv today. The attack led to power outages in the city and cut the water pumps, which made it difficult for the firefighters to extinguish the fire. This attack was after Russia hit an electricity plant near Kharkiv which caused power outages the night before. Russia troops targeted the city with multiple rockets during today. Ukrainian forces are engaged in an active offensive to recapture villages and towns in the region that were taken by Russian troops after they invaded Ukraine on Feb. 24. Russia continues to shell the city almost daily.
