Bunker Cells in Shevchenkove
Blankets and buckets used for toilets were left inside a holding cell at a military recruitment building in Shevchenkove, Ukraine on Sept. 18, 2022. The buckets still contained urine as the Russian troop rushed to flee the Ukrainian offensive to reclaim the region. Cages in the building's basement were used as a detention cell for Russian deserters. Shevchenkove was liberated Sept. 8 by Ukrainian forces during a large scale assault to Russian troops out of occupied territories. Shot for The Guardian
